Anne Scardino began her entrepreneurial career in real estate development and design after touring an ocean front home for sale in Stone Harbor, New Jersey. "It was an Oprah light bulb moment," says Scardino, who developed and designed some of Avalon's and Stone Harbor's most luxurious homes.
Her design expertise comes naturally, but she has taken coursework at Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia. The entire process, from buying a property, removing the existing home, designing the new home along with an architect, and all the design elements in between-from kitchen, bath and lighting decisions, is something Scardino passionately enjoys. "Seeing the entire process come together is challenging, but so rewarding," says Scardino. In addition to designing for her development projects, Scardino helps clients with space planning, renovations and interior design and decorating. Whether it be choosing a paint color or planning an addition, Scardino can handle the process, keeping in mind the client's lifestyle and budget. "Any space can be beautiful," says Scardino, "and it's important that we pay attention to how we live and not just follow trends."
Scardino holds a degree in Journalism from Temple University.
